San Francisco voter guide 2026: Propositions, candidates and races
Axios’s November cheat sheet describes Prop B in one line: a city-owned financing corporation that could lay the groundwork for a public bank.

Nadia Lopez’s Axios San Francisco voter guide lists Prop B among the local measures on the November 3 ballot. The description is exact: it would create a city-owned financing corporation, potentially laying the groundwork for a public bank.
“Groundwork” is the whole ballot question. The measure does not capitalize the corporation, does not raise a tax, and does not let residents open accounts. The money is a later fight.
A cheat sheet is useful when the ballot is this long. The line on Prop B is also the No case: a framework, not a bank.
