## Position

Vote No on San Francisco Proposition B. It is a City Charter amendment to authorize a Municipal Finance Corporation and, later, a public bank. It does not fund the bank, does not let residents open accounts, and would put City Hall appointees in control of lending.

Three facts this committee asks voters to remember:

1. $460 million — the Controller’s estimate (City plan range $310–$460 million over eight years), citing the 2023 Reinvestment Working Group business plan.
2. No funding plan — the measure appropriates $0. A tax proposed to capitalize it was withdrawn in March 2026.
3. Politicians picking loans — appointed commissioners would decide who gets the money. Losses fall on taxpayers.
